Would this prebuilt PC be worth it?

Solution
1. Power Supply isn't that great, not something you want to consider overclocking Heavy on.
2. Stock CPU cooler covers Stock settings but you will have to replace it to overclock.

This isn't a bad price on a PreBuilt if you have no desire to build one yourself. I would suggest you do build it yourself though as it's not hard to do, The worst part about building a PC is installing a Aftermarket cooler "Figuring out the Brackets" and plugging in all the connections into the motherboard "Which you are supplied instructions on".

The PSU is not a good choice. The Case is very ugly. Trust me you can do a lot better building a PC. You don't have to do the building youself; just get someone you know who knows their way around PC parts to build yours for you.

Everything looks fine, if you want to knock a little bit off the price then.

1. If you have no plans on running 2 Graphics Cards then a Power supply Rating 500 Watts will do fine, the price on that one is great though.
2. 8GB of RAM is plenty for Gaming, if your not into Photoshopping or other tasks that are Memory intensive then you will never need 16GB.
3. That Cooler isn't bad but if your not Planning on pushing Insane Overclocks a Hyper 212 Evo $20 less will do the job.
4. By Default a I5 4690K supports up to 1600mhz RAM, Most of the time you will have to manual change the settings in the Bios to get higher speed RAM to post past 1600mhz.

A good suggestion for 8gb... It matches the Cooler Scheme of the board as well.
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB CL8 1866mhz $48.99

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $25.98.. Will easily hold 4.5ghz Overclock with great Heat Control.

I just changed the build to your suggestions, but I still have a few more questions if you still want to help though.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/wippersnapper23/saved/NwMQzy

1. What do I get when I buy the windows 10 operating system? I have seen tutorials on how to install it, but I'm just a little confused on what I get when I buy it.
2. Is an optical drive important for a PC? Would there really be anything I would need it for? By the way, I don't need it for any personal reason, but I'm just concerned that I might need it for some technical reason, like downloading windows for example.
3. I already added the thermal paste in the build, but I was also wondering if it is important to have a static wristband. I know that many people use it while building, but I don't know how important it really is. I would also want to know if there are anymore tools that I would need, such as special screws or something.
4. Should I buy any case fans? I just don't really know how important they are...

That's really the last of my questions for now, and I would appreciate an answer to any of them. You have been extremely helpful so far, and I really do appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

1. Win 10 is a Step up from Win 8, it's faster has many security flaws fixed and Direct X 12 Support. Overall it's a nice OS so far as I have upgraded all my PC's to it. Normally I have driver issues and crashes with a new OS with this one I have had no issues at all other than a initial Slow boot because it was a Upgrade and not a Fresh install.

2. Optical Drives are not really needed unless you buy Software on a DVD or want to play a DVD. I have a BluRay but to tell you the truth I never use the thing. All my software and games have been downloaded and installed, even Win 10 bypasses a DVD and uses a USB Flash Drive.

3. The Cooler comes with Thermal Paste so you don't need to buy it but what you have selected is a little bit better. The difference here is not much mostly the Arctic stuff last longer as in it doesn't dry out with hundreds of Shutdowns over time. You do not need a Anti Static Band, Use a Table and just assemble there. I only use a Anti Static band when I am re-soldering or working around sensitive components. The only tool you need is a Phillips screw Driver.

4. You have two included Fans which is all you need for a 1 GPU setup, that case is quite large and has great cooling. I actually only have one Case fan on mine, the EVO has two fans "Push Pull" and they are pointed right where the rear case fan would have been, temps have been fine for 2 years.

Thank you so much! You were honestly extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions perfectly! I will probably end up getting this build in about a month-ish. As I said, this will be my first build, and I have no idea what I would have done without you. Thanks again!
