Unusual external HDD behavior

I recently attached a second external hard drive to my Win7 PC, and now whenever I turn my screen on and log in after a period of time afk, both my external hard drives spin up. I'm fairly certain that when I had one, it would only spin up when purposefully accessed.

I was hoping someone could help me figure out why this is? The original drive is a WD MyBook, and this newest drive I've attached is a Seagate. Could that have anything to do with it?

It's only supposed to spin up if it's accessed. I've done some more testing, and it won't wake when I lock/unlock computer, or turn screen on, but if I plug in another USB drive or even the USB connection to my monitor, it wakes up that drive. Not sure why, trying to figure it out now.
