Ok sorry for jumping the gun and asking something I'm sure has been asked before but I could find the answer I was looking for right away.

I currently have a gtx750 and powering 2 22" monitors on it. Works well enough I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything, just casual, more school work and media.

Anyway I have my heart set on a new 27 crossover monitor so I can watch movies in my room on it, and lets face it, bigger is always better (been throwing around the idea of getting the 29" lg 21:9 also but well talk about that later.)

Anyway, I was thinking about dropping in a newer graphics card to push the new monitor, but leaving the old card in for the old monitors. No SLI or anything like that, just one card for two monitors and the other for the third. Any trouble ahead of me with drivers, or poor performance.

Might sound odd but the reason is, my monitors only have hdmi and dsub inputs, find a newer card with 2 hdmi inputs. I hate adapters...

Solution
You can have as many different gpus in a system as you can. Even mix amd, nvidia and intel all running at the same time with no issues. You can also physx different nvidia cards. You aren't going to find many gpus with 2 hdmi ports.
