Hi all. I promised myself I wouldn't create a "is this a good PSU" thread, but after scowering the Tom's forums and numerous other internet searches, I find myself very confused and overloaded with PSU info. I've read the sticky threads about figuring out wattage and amps, and I've tried pretty much every PSU calculator I could find, all with tremendously wavering results.

So here's my PC build:
ASUS M5 A97 R2.0 Motherboard
AMD FX6300 6x3.5Ghz CPU
16 Gb Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 (4x4Gb) RAM
standard 10,000rpm SATA HD
standard CD/DVD writable drive
currently a 500w PSU

I'll be upgrading my GPU to an AMD R9 290x. According to the calculators, I need anywhere from 450w to 750w. According to the mathematical formula I found here on Tom's, I need around 600w.

Based on everything I've read, I bookmarked this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438054&cm_re=650w_psu_gold-_-17-438-054-_-Product

But in reality, I have no idea if this is enough, too much, or just right. I simply lack the confidence and knowledge required to pick out the right PSU, and I'm relying on you experts to give me some opinions and good advice. I'm basically looking for the amount of wattage/amps needed. This isn't meant to be a "X model is better than Y model" discussion, just hard numbers and what my minimum wattage should be for long periods of gaming. I look forward to hearing some good things. If you know of anything else that would give my PC some extra kick, don't be afraid to shout that out as well ;)

Well I think the ballpark of 600w would be a good place to be at, Although and this could be my error, I looked up the model number on JohnnyGURU and didn't get anything. Now I could of done it wrong. But I don't keep super up to date on stuff anymore, and that PSU looks fine. Although from what I remember Delta and Seasonic tend to make the best, Superflower is good and Corsair use to be all Seasonic but is now spread out to a bunch of meh makers, although they have rockin' Customer service.

Edit the reason I mention Seasonic and the others is because like 90% of the PSU market is rebranded or made by other companies that most have never heard of so that ( insert cool brand name here ) power supply was really made by jacks...
