Hi, currently I'm looking for a way to extend my home Internet to where I work. They give us hot spots, but rarely do they keep a signal (I work in a field in the middle of nowhere).

Basically I'm curious to know if there is a way to extend my Internet at home over 30 miles to be accessed by my laptop. I did a bit of researching and found this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/39902-43-long-range-miles-directional-wifi-signal-boosting

The response from tig on nanobeam m bridges seems like it may be possible? There are no trees or much of anything in the way, I live in the Permian Basin which is pretty much flat desert.

Some things I have to work with that may help (not sure): We have directional repeaters out here on 100 or so foot poles. I can use these as necesary for mounting. We also have power with ac adapters where all the repeaters are. However, the repeaters in place are only there to give access to a network of work related equipment. I don't believe they transmit anything but radio signal.

So is it possible to invest in some hardware that will allow me to get my Internet from home out to this field? I have power in the field, and poles to mount things on in place. Curious if this is possible, thanks!

Would a cellular repeater be a better investment. Put a cellular antenna on a 100ft tower and have it repeat cellular signals so that your hotspot works.
