Hello,
So ive decided to overclock my cpu using a ga z68x ud3h b3 mobo.
I have a cm nepton 240 cooler . At stock , idle my cpu is arond 1.15-1.16 v .
Is this too high, also i'm having a few problems with my cooler , so idle temps are ~50 degrees , but thats maybe because its not mounted properly ( just changed coolers )or thermal paste is not applied correctly .

3rd Generation 22 Nanometer: 3570K / 3770K (TDP 77W / Idle 4W)

Tcase (CPU temp) = 67C
Tjunction (Core temp) = 72C
Tj Max (Throttle temp) = 105C

3rd Generation 22 Nanometer ... 1.30 Vcore

stay under 72c in prime95 26.6 and stay below 1.30v on the core. you still have plenty of headroom to get to 4.3-4.5ghz on all 4 cores locked. go into your bios and just plug in a 42x multiplier and test with prime.

I changed the thermal paste ( the one provided with the cooler seemed to have slightly dried up) , applied more and remounted the cooler and my idle temps were about 33 degrees. The bios are however not clear on what the vcore is. The vcore is 1.15 on the general page but when I go to advanced voltage, cpu vcore is 1.115

Ok thank you for the answer.
I'll start overclocking once i backup everything . I also have to change the mobo anyway as 2 ram slots have stopped working ( they failed minutes after posting this thread)
