i have a core 2 quad q9550 max ram on this can go up too 16gb ddr3
went to crucial.com downloaded the system ram scanner which then lists all of my compatible ram for my computer so i got the right one now when i put it in the slots all kinda beeps happen system wont load wont accept it tried moving them to other slots or one at a time bios was up to date the old ram was out of the computer too just the new ram was in it but i do know like 10% of the time even if the ram is the exact ram you need for you computer for some reason it wont work
so anything else i could try before i return it in which case i will get my money back and im try another company same ram
