I'm in the process of making my second build and I found that my current PSU has a single 8-pin connector.
The problem is my CPU requires an 8-pin connector and my GPU requires a 6-pin and an 8-pin.
Would I be able to get away with powering my GPU via a 6-pin connector and 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E adapter or do I have other options?
Thanks!
Motherboad - Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU - AMD FX 6300
GPU - MSI R9 280X 6GB
PSU - Ultra LSP650
PS. I plan on upgrading my power supply in the future but a the moment my budget won't allow it.
