Hi I've been spending a long time planning this rig and I think I might be finished. I'm gonna use it for CAD/Blender for school as well as Gaming and using the internet.

Build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vZjpsY

I actually went a bit over my budget but that's all g. But if anyone has any suggestions or questions it would be appreciated.

Thanks

pretty good build, You can probably get 1866mhz cas 10 ram for cheaper than that though. And if you plan to crossfire in the future you should get an 850 watt PSU IMO but if not 650 watts is plenty.

The wd green is 5400rpm vs the seagate barracuda 7200rpm just so you know what you are buying.

Also that motherboard is overkill as you can not overclock a xeon and it is just overpriced for this build.

get something like this
http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h97mpro4 micro atx board that will support crossfire

http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fatal1tyh97performance atx red themed board that supports crossfire

everything looks good but only think i can advise (just persional preference though take with grain of salt) zeon's are hot cpu's so i would go with a noctua cooler, though the hyper 212 is good! i would want to beef that sucker up. and i prefer nvidia so i would get a 980 variant. and for the case i would get the nzxt h630, it is A LOT more modular and great with noise and airflow, *my current case* and Western Digital Green should only be used for storing rarely used program/items like videos if you are recording, it is a 5900rpm drive apposed to 7200rpm, if your using for mass storage get a Western Digital Black or Seagate barracuda

I changed to the EVGA G1 750W 80+ Gold. Also the WD Green drive (I'm getting it from here: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=22582&cPath=344) is it good for mass storage? And finally I chose the Z97 Gaming 5 because I couldn't find a cheaper one the looked as reliable. Is the H97 Gaming 3 good?

the h97 gaming 3 is decent if that is what you want Why that in particular? You should just get one of the boards that i recommended, they are reliable, what do you mean doesn't look reliable?

Yes the wd green is good for mass storage, a 2tb seagate barracuda would be better but it is not a big deal if you don't need speed.

The evga G1 is not a great PSU, The g2 in your original build is made by super flower which is much better, just get that, its fine being overkill.

I went with WD because everyone says their more reliable. and I meant the 650W G1 from EVGA if that makes any difference. Sorry I completely blanked about those two mobo's, looking at them now I'll probably go with the Asrock Fatal1ty H97 Performance as its on Umart for $139.

Thanks for all the help btw.

the g1 from evga isn't the greatest, find a PSU that is at least 600 watts from this list that is tier 1 or 2, the evga g1 is basically a NEX which is tier 3 and i don't recommend tier 3 PSUs

WD has a slightly lower failure rate but it is fairly insignificant and they are both great drives. And the barracuda is much faster than the wd green, you can't really go wrong with either company it is your choice.
