Hey guys

I ditched my old smartphone a while back because the screen was broken, before that i was using a battery charger beccause my usb port was broken.

I'm wondering if i can still get info off my smartphone, it still works , and its still connected to the internet, i can hear messages come in on my chatprogram when i started it up.

Is there anyway to use my wifi , to connect to my smartphone without me needing to approve anything? there was no secuirity code on it , so i won't have to worry about that.

its a n7000 btw aka samsung note 1

ps: is this the right sub-forum? i might have looked over it , but i can't see a smartphone section.

Well with no screen, and no USB port, you are quite limited to what you can do to backup any information on the phone. With the possible exception of removing (if you have one) the microSD card and putting it into a computer (or other device) and recovering it.

If you had no USB port, I would suggest using an "airdroid" style application that would act as a HTTP server so you can connect via any computer/phone that was on the same network and recover files that way, but again, without screen OR USB port, you are severely limited on what you can do aside from replacing the damaged components and trying again...

It really depends what is worth more to you, fixing your old phone, and recovering the data, or not.

figuered as much , its not worth pretty much anything to me, i don't even know if there is anything on the phone worth keeping.
Just figuered i'd look , i have a one plus now , so it's just something to keep me busy.

I used to use airdroid , but you always needed to start the app , and than it asked permission. so i guess thats no good, nevermind the fact that the app probably isn't on my phone.

Thanks for awnsering, if someone has a suggestion, don't hesitate :)
