Hello community

Im very interested in:
what is the ideal card for 900p gaming (1440x900+STABLE 30fps)?
(I have already bought the gigabyte gtx 970 g1 gaming but i would like to know what would have been ideal)

Thank you!

Solution
Can you control your temperatures on idle and load using HWMonitor? Focus on the temps of the motherboard, processor and graphics card.

When you update your GPU drivers, do you remove them first with DDU?

Define ideal. What psu do you have, what processor, what games do you want play, at what quality settings is important to you, is overclocking and is power consumption important, is noise important?

There are too many open questions to recommend the ideal graphics card to you. Generally seen, I think for that low settings and fps, a GTX 750 Ti would be more ideal. But it depends on some other aspects.

The problem is i always find the benchmarks about 1080p and never 900p so i dont know how that performs

i had a hd 7770 that shuold perform very bad and i could max most games except crysis 3 and ac unity/ black flag i dont know the fps but was enough for me for example i run crysis 3 very high except aa when the hd 7770 should not have been able to do that

To be fair only the high end cards at full MSAA are tested.

Turbopixel i list all you say ;) thank you

Xfx pro edition 850w i already have +

for cpu mobo ram i have 1000$ i was thinking about i7 6700k now i have the a10 6800k

For setting i only want textures nothing else is important all other can be set to lowest

No power consumption noise are not important i like to overclock (thats why g1 gaming) but doesnt matter if i get the performance without it ;)

Gaming + listening music

i have the nvidia shield so amd would not have been an option but what does it have for 900p just curious?

The gtx 970 g1 gaming + xfx pro edition 850w costed a bit under 300$ together brand new i bought because it was a great deal

G1 gaming did not fit in a friends computer xD so 210$ xfx for like 80$ normal price i think

I can't say much about your cpu you have now, but if you want buy new cpu, it should speed up a lot for you I think. With your rig (the new i7 + 970), you can even expect to get 60 fps at 1080p on most games, even with highest or very high quality settings. I have an Xeon E3-1230 v3 processor and a MSI GTX 970 and can play Witcher 3 with high quality settings at 60 fps with 1080p resolution. Edit: Your psu seems to be over powered, but that is no problem. GTX 970 needs at last 500 W. On 50% load of your psu you get the sweet spot. Btw, I want probably sli GTX 970 with my (high quality) 650 W psu. ;-)

You do not need a better processor than the A10 AMD processor you already have for your purposes. Besides that even a 350 watts power supply would suffice with the AMD A10 + GTX 750 Ti graphics card.

AMD alternatives for 900p@30fps are the R7 260X, R7 265 and R7 370.

The point is that the PC will perform exactly the same with an i3 processor as it would with an i7. If you don't feel a difference why would you have to spend 1000 dollars just to make sure you don't have money left after this?

Buy an SSD, sounds like you will need it. It makes your PC load faster.
