Okay so I recently built my own PC for gaming and I would appreciate it if more experienced people (I'm basically a beginner when it comes to computer builds) could check it out and tell if they recommend me changing something (not to something more expensive please, 1k dollars seems bad enough already)

CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Storage - (I'll buy a cheap physical hard drive here)
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card
Power Supply - Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

It really depends on what you are looking for, This build is cheaper and will get almost equivalent performance, If you want to spend the entire 1k you can but this will do 1080p gaming ultra over 60fps, What are you looking for? do you need an OS/monitor/peripherals? Where do you live?

The xeon is generally better than a 4690k and about the same price

You don't need 16gb of ram at all for gaming

That PSU you picked is pretty low quality and i would recommend something better like the neo eco.

Yeah I'm looking for high quality gaming (aiming for games like TERA, Black Desert and other incoming games) while having 1k dollars as the max I can spend

I chose 16gb ram thinking about Photoshop tbh, I import videos and turn them into gifs and stuff, and Photoshop uses #% of your RAM to run faster, thus I thought getting 16gb ram would be a nice opportunity.

i say go with rezners build. It's the better build of the two and it has a lot of wiggle room. Room you can spend on a nice looking case or custom fans, because if you're going to pay a g on a build mine as well make it look nice.

I'll go with your build, saves me a lot of money for other things (for example, much needed headphones). Thank you very much!

Which headphones are you planning to get? For gaming I would recommend one of the sennheiser 500 series open air headphones or the hyperx cloud headset. You could also get the fii0 e10k if you want an external DAC

I was thinking about Razer Kraken Pro or HyperX Cloud, friends have complained about Razer's durability though, so I might go with the HyperX Cloud headset
