So.. I have a problem... One of my GPU's DVI-D and DVI-I outputs don't work with one of my monitors... I'm curious as to whether it is the GPU or the Monitor that is at fault.
I have queried this before here to no avail though I didn't want to perform thread necromancy. Also I didn't have as much information as I do now. Also I now have 2 GPUs in SLI, which allows me to perform further checks. Speaking of which... I made a little chart of the results, which I will try to embed into this post...
Basically this shows that all connections work, except for the DVI interface between the one GPU and the one monitor...
(one small point is that the DVI-I ports marked "No signal" do convey a signal when in Windows Safe Mode, but only a default 800x600 one.)
Anyone have any ideas?
Is it worth worrying about, or should I just use the other GPU to connect my monitors to for SLI? (as I have been doing - incidentally, the only reason I re-investigated this issue was due to the second GPU appearing to come down with the same issue as the first, and not like the ASUS monitor, though that appears to have resolved itself during testing...)
I'll put my specs here just in case too...
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
CPU: Intel i5 3570K @3.40GHz OC'd to 4.22GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3 (Corsair)
GPU: 2x NVidia GTX 670 2GB (MSI) in SLI
SSD: 256GB (OCZ)
HDD: 2TB (Seagate)
PSU: 750W (Corsair)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Display 1: 22" LG M227WD
Display 2: 23.6" ASUS VE247H
Thanks!
