Intel I5 6600 k video editing/ light gaming

I m building a new micro atx based sistem on a Asus z170 M plus mother board with crucial 8gb udimm ddr4 ram. Will it be suficient to edit 1080p /4k GoPro videos without (for now- money issues) a dedicated Gpu? I know an I7 would be better for video editing , but the skylake I7 is too expensive for me. Question video editing wise: Z170 socket 1151 I5 6600k or Z97 I7 4790 socket 1150? If I get the I7 i ll have to change the mobo too later when I ll upgrade. Thanks

Untill I upgrade to a dedicated decent gpu, 1080 p/ 60 fps will be my choice both for my car dascam and my GoPro.
I think the I7 / lga 1150 socket might be better now for a similar price for now, but the I5 6600k / 1151 Asus Z170 M Plus ( with usb type C) is more future proof and cheaper to upgrade
