Is the Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN card dual band capable?

I recently installed new internet modem capable of 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. I am only able to connect to the 2.4 feature and do not see a 5.0 option for WIFI connect. Does this mean my cpu with Ralink 802.11n wireless LAN card is not 5.0 compatible? Or, do I simply need to download a newer driver?

No way to tell from your post. You take the actual part number of the internet card and look the spec up. RALINK is actually a wireless chipset manufacture, their products are sold under many brands.

It is likely that the card only support 2.4g because you would see device settings. One strange thing that can happen is sometime if you have a 2.4g card installed and swap it for a dual band and the chipset is close enough windows will use the old driver and not ask to load a new one.

Still the solution is the same. You look the part number up and download the correct driver and tell windows to replace it with the new one. If it is the same one you are currently running then you likely have a 2.4g only card.
