Can an 1866Mhz RAM can work on 1699Mhz supported motherboard?

You can run the sticks, on install they will boot to the mobos default then you manually set up to 1600 (1866 sticks will have an XMP profile (2 of them actually) for 1866), they won't have a 1600 XMP profile
