Hello,

I have a ADSL UTStarcom WA3002G4 router/modem at home.
As I am new to computers / softwares so please forgive me if the answer is too obviously simple.

I would like to see/monitor in real time, the network traffic (i.e. websites visited) through my router.
I use WiFi internet for my laptop and my smartphone.

Previously, I had installed wireshark but I could not figure out how to use it.

Is there any other (free) software that will allow me to do so which is not too complicated?

Operating systems I use are Windows 10 Pro as well as Ubuntu 14.04 so please suggest me any compatible software that will allow me to see what website are visited by any system connected to my home wifi. I don't want to know any information that is passed from the systems, but only the websites visited information is required.

Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Wireshark and any other software you load on the PC will only see traffic on that PC unless you have switches that can mirror ports which you will only get on a manged switch. Even then it does not get the wireless traffic which is going straight to the router.

Obviously you can use the windows resource monitor and see any open session but again that is only on the machine you are using not traffic from other machines.

There are some other firmware options you can load on router that can do this but if you are having issues running something simple like wireshark it would be risky for you to flash firmware into a router since you can get a hard to recover router by making a simple mistake.

Still it doesn't matter anyway, you can not get a firmware image for a router that contains a modem so it is not a option for you.

So unless you can load some data collection software on ever machine you use and then find a way to combine the reports you likely can not accomplish what you want.
