Hi!

I'm building a new pc with the following specs:

i5 4690k CPU (planning to OC)
MSI Gaming 5 Mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
550W PSU
Gigabyte G1 Geforce GTX 970
Hyper 212 Evo cooler

Three questions:

1. I'm thinking of using an Antec GX300 case. Will the Evo 212 cooler fit in the case? Or should I play it safe with the GX500?

2. Is my power supply sufficient for the build? Will over clocking affect this?

3. I will have 4 fans installed on the case (1 x 140mm, 3 x 120mm) Should this be sufficient cooling?

Thank you so much for your help!

Solution
1.) The GX300 fits GPUs up to 15.7” (400 mm) and will fit the Hyper 212 EVO. You should be fine. At that price range, check out the Corsair 300r.

2.) Absolutely, if it is a high quality unit. Just make sure it is on the Tier 1 or Tier 2 list in the link below.

3.) Yes. Just make sure you are promoting a front-to-back airflow. Front / side / bottom intake, then rear / top as exhaust.

Hi,

I think play it safe and go for the GX500, it is a rather big size cooler
I might be wrong, but it does look like a big enough PSU, if you can, rather go 650watt especially if you are planning on overclocking
More then enough, just make sure the fans is setup correctly, you must have at least one exhaust fan
