So I'm In The Market For A New Pc And I've Whipped Up A Parts-list And Would Like Some Advise And Some Rough Frame rates (Or At Least Will This Got Most Games 60+fps On High?).

United Kingdom:

United States:

I Have Made A Link To Both This Part List According To American Prices And UK Prices So You Guys Have A Rough Budget If I Need To Completely Overhaul This System.

Also I Will Be Swapping The R9 280x For A Gtx 780 Or Gtx 970 At The Time Of Purcase, The AMD Card Is Purely A Price Point Of The Gpu. (Around £200/$250) As The Gtx 780 I Can Buy Used For £180-£200 ish /$220-$250 ish!

Thanks For Your Time!

The 4690K is pointless if he doesn't plan to OC.

The stock cooler is more than adequate for a 4460 unless the airflow is truly poor. However, upgrading to a Hyper 212 Evo is cheap enough and will make a noticeable difference.

I wouldn't bother with that SSD. There's a reason it's that cheap. Spend the cash and pick up a Samsung 850 Evo or something of similar ilk.

I would go with 16gb of memory if you are doing heavy gaming, and i would get at least a 3.4GHz CPU or higher, I don't have a stellar gaming PC but my i3 is 3.4 and handles much better than my friend which is a 3.2, and the specs on the two computers are the same just he has 3.2.

+Skrublord I Understand That The 4690k Is Faster, However I Am Not Doing Any Over-clocking And After Looking At Some Threads On Here It Seems That The Price Difference (Around $50) Is Not Worth It.

However Thanks For The Advice!

+MtthewGervasi Although At One Point All That Mattered Is The Spped Of A Proceesor Now There Is Plenty Other Things To Look For As Well, Such As HyperThreading And Such.

However I Understand The The Speed Of The Processor Does Affect A CPU And I Fully Understand I Cant Over-clock This CPU To Match It.

Thanks For The Response!

+utgotye I Can Grab The After-market CPU Cooler, Thanks For The Advice.

And I've Always Been A HDD Person So I Wanted To Experiment With A SSD, So Thanks For Telling Me This Is A No Go, It Saves Me From Having Bad Impressions Of SSDs. I Will Look Into Getting A High Quality SSD Like An 850 Evo Or One Of The New Intel Ones (Cant Remember Model Number) If Not I Will Stick With A HDD And Insert A SSD And Move My Install Of Windows Over (Somehow)

Truly Grateful For The Help
Thanks For The Responce

As a rule, prices will tell you a lot about the parts themselves. It's not 100%, but there's a reason why the CX series of Corsair PSUs is cheap. There's a reason why Kingston V series SSDs are cheap. And so on.

Have a good one.
