FX 6300 Overclocked vs FX 8350 Stock

Basically as the title suggests. I wont overclock the 8350 because I would use the stock cooler to cut down on costs. I would have a liquid cooler for the 6300 though so that I can overclock to about 4.5-4.6 GHZ. So basically I would think the 8350 would preform better but idk. Don't suggest any intel CPU because to be honest, I'm trying to have a budget build so using intel wouldn't really help it that much. My GPU is gonna be a GTX 970.

A very good quality motherboard for either FX-6 or FX-8 and overclocking.
Remember that how well you can overclock any cpu is determined by the quality of the chip...

so I'm on a slight budget, so if I have the gigabyte 970a-ud3p would that be fine for a 4.5-4.7ghz oc?

Remember that how well you can overclock any cpu is determined by the quality of the chip and your tolerance for dangerous voltage levels.
High OC levels you hear about come from those with golden chips.
Those with average chips or dogs are silent.
OC your cpu as well as you can and be satisfied.
