Let's say JUST I bought a new CPU, and it works 100% fine, but a newer, better one comes out for the same price. Would I be able to return the completely working motherboard and cpu and get the updated cpu and motherboard?
You should be able to return it with the allotted time period given to return the products, but they will charge you a restocking fee. This means that you won't get the full refund.

Thanks guys, I bought a 4690k and saw some benchmarks of it vs the 6600k, only a 5-10 fps difference and I can also overclock the 4690k, plus the additional cost of the ddr4 ram so it is pointless to return it.
