Hello there. Just got this brand new GTX 970 after my HD 7950 crapped out on me and was wondering if I'd lose anything in terms of performance by installing it in my Motherboard's X8 slot? The reason I ask this is because the small safety pin that's supposed to hold the graphics card to the actual board is broken in the x16 slot so I only have the x4 and x8 slots available. The board is PCI-E 2.0 only, if that's of any use to you guys.
