Hello, I built my rig a few years ago and have given it a few upgrades along the way.
Now I'm looking to upgrade my processor. I currently have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.60 GHz
My motherboard is a 1 x MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS.
My budget is a few hundred dollars and I would prefer to just upgrade the processor. What is a good processor to upgrade to from my current rig and if I upgrade would I have to get a new Mobo as well?
Are there any that I can upgrade too while keeping the same mobo as I swapping that out is going to be kind of a pain.
