Above is a picture of the computer I just put together. The case is a Corsair Air. As you can probably tell, the 8pin power cord for my video card, while it fits into the case, is pressing up against the plastic window. I am uneasy as to whether this could eventually damage the cable's components and cause it to short out or start a fire.

Also super pissed off that something sized for mATX doesn't have the height to accomodate a standard mid-range card + power cable.

I have a modular 600w Corsair PSU. I asked in another thread if anyone knew of any 'flatter' 8pin connectors I might use to lower the cable's profile, but no one has answered. If you happen to know of any (I guess I just don't have the right keyword? Please let me know.

And if you have any advice on how I should proceed (even if its 'return case before the receipt period is up'), please share!

Solution
No it will be fine. You can bend electrical cables in all sorts of ways. As long as you don't pull on the cables, only bend them, they'll be fine. :)
