So regarding the subject, I've recently bought a brand new power supply which is a Corsair CS550m and recently I've read about having too much watt rating on PSUs than recommended will cause it to be less efficient than given.
I've checked the power supply calculator sites and my recommended minimum power supply is 344W

So is that true or am I doing fine ?

My current desktop specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B75M-D3V
CPU: Intel i5-3470 Ivy Bride @ 3.2GHz
Ram: 2x 4Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3
Video Card: MSI NVIDIA GTX 960 2Gb
HDD : 1Tb HDD & 1 SSD
Optical Drive : DVD-RW/DVD+RW Drive
Power Supply : Corsair CS550m

Additional Stuff : 3x 120mm Fans

Will totally appreciate all the replies :)

PSU's are most efficient at about 50% load. After that, the efficiency starts to drop. So your PSU isn't too much.

That will even run on a quality 550W no problem, however that PSU is not recommended for gaming. Tier 2 is recommended gaming.

I would recommend;
XFX TS or XTR or Pro Series
Seasonic M12II
EVGA GS or G2

I would say that your power supply would be adequate for your system build. I am curious to see the link that you read about the "Over Power" of a power supply. Being over by a few watts would not be a big concern if you would ask me and even with more than enough power, it can only be more stable and will handle power spikes from you system.

:O I did a lot of gaming recently and I didn't know about that as CS550m was cheaper and more given watts than Seasonic M12II. That's why I bought that. Guess I'll sell my power supply at about the same price and get the Seasonic then..

As long as recommended PSU requirements are met the highest Tier PSU is better.
