Hi all,

So I bought brand new 2x4gb Kingston Hyper X 1866 Memory, the one below

http://www.ncix.com/detail/kingston-hyperx-fury-memory-black-5e-95972-1012.htm

I'm using a older computer but it's still fairly for what I need it for. Mother board is a Asus P5P43TD Pro, which uses DDR3 ram. I think the one I'm using is Kingston 667MHZ.

So when I first take out the old ram and put in the new ram.. I get a blank screen. Nothing shows up on the screen. So then I put the old ones back in and they work fine, changed the settings in the bios from Auto to 1800 didn't work then to 1600 also didn't work... and just put in my old ram and it worked fine.

Called NCIX where I bought my memory from and he said because my motherboard is older than 5 years or so the denisty or the memory has changed and will not work?

What Ram can I use then?

Thanks

The Fury use high density memory chips which aren't compatible and also work off PnP which isn't compatible - I'd look to get some of the GSkill NT sticks that are made w/ low density memory chips/ICs
