Hey guys, so regarding the topic, I've found a black spot on my old graphics card (EVGA NVIDIA GTX 550TI) and it bothers me why and how it happened. One thing I know for sure is that my old 550TI stopped working and I'm waiting for a my new card.

I've attached a pic of how it looks like.

I'm no electric expert but there is no connection made at that particular location and this would be the "form factor" part that, when you push it in, it forces the lock to lock it in place. I don't this this is related to the trouble you had with your card

Not yet, and I'm afraid of trying anything else. I'll try to get a pic of that PCIe slot

I wouldn't call it dead yet because the cooler fan was running but there wasn't any display on my screen when I booted it up.

Also here's the link to the pcie slot i put my card in.

I've just bought a new PSU few weeks ago but I will try to get that just in case...

So far I've found out that my 550 wasn't consistent. It displayed again after I tried just now but after i rebooted my PC, it didn't display anything.
