Guys, i have really low fps on CS:GO, GTA 5 and etc. And the intresting is that i have seen many videos on theese two games with the same laptop, but with much better FPS. When i play GTA 5 in the firs 5 mins it's OK, but after that, the lag is unbelievable. Please help because I am crying right now... :( :(
The laptop is Lenovo Y50-70
Specs: DISPLAY 15.6" (39.6 CM) ULTRA HD (3840x2160)
CPU INTEL CORE i7-4720HQ 6M Cache, up to 3.60 GHz
RAM 8 GB DDR3
HDD 1TB 5400RPM+8GB SSHD
VIDEO NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960M, 4GB

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME !!! Thanks.

If it's fine for the first few minutes, it's likely thermal throttling due to the laptop overheating.

I seriously doubt you can run any modern game on the 4k resolution your laptop provides, simply because it's not powerful enough to really do that, most desktops aren't.

Trying setting the resolution to 1080p.

It's possible it could be your hard drive as well, the 5400RPM part can actually affect gameplay, and only 8gbs of SSD space really isn't enough to speed up something like GTA:5 and the fact it's always switching the data that's on their with your most recently frequently used programs.

That laptop has some strange specs. I don't know what they were thinking trying to pair a UHD display with a 960M. That GPU is seriously underpowered for that resolution, which is probably why you are getting low framerates.

I would suggest that you change the resolution in games to 1920x1080. You will get much higher framerates that way. It's an integer scaling factor to fit on the screen as well, so you avoid messy upscaling problems.
