I've recently bought a R9 280X and i was wondering if my PSU can handle it.
Current PC specs :

i3 540 @ 3.06 ghz
Cooler Master 600W PSU
ENGTX 550 Ti
4gb Vengeance

Thanks a lot ;)

No adapters needed. It's not desirable to use adapters anyway. Plug and play.

Not sure about the quality of your power supply, and that is a very important factor to consider.

But for reference purposes, I run my r9 280x on a XFX 550W 80bronze (decent quality) PSU.
I also have an i5-4460 and 8GB of RAM with an SSD.

So yes, you're good with that 600W, but I strongly recommend a good quality PSU for a future upgrade :)

ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 - requires one 75-Watt 6-pin & one 150-Watt 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors

ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5-V2 - requires two 150-Watt 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors

What's the exact model number of your Cooler Master 600w PSU? There's at least eight different 600W models.

That's the discontinued Cooler Master GX-Lite 600W. The OEM is ATNG. It does suffer from its group regulated circuit design where the +5V or +12V rail will go out of ATX12V specs when the PSU is crossloaded.

It has two 150-Watt (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors so it'll handle whichever ASUS R9 280X model you get.

Dayum man, Thanks a lot ! I really appreciate that.
Card arrives at approx. 23:30 (UTC +02:00). So if there will be any problems, I'll poke you ;) :D

But there's still one thing im worried about - 6+8 pin pcie power required. That's what seller said.

A (6+2)-pin connector can be used as either a 6-pin connector or an 8-pin connector. What's there to worry about?
