Hello.Computer services close to my home installed cpu and etc. and everything shall be at stock but when i play gta v the benchmark shows 52-56 fps, and after i play close to 10-20 min, benchmark shows 35-40 fps. So my question is, is it possible to be thermal throttle because of the high voltage ?
Specs : FX-8350
R9 280x
cooler hyper evo 212
mobo asrock 980de/u3s3

Here is a picture from AMD Overdrive

I think its going up bcz of some kind of turbo, overclock is set to auto and 200mhz at bios.

Why did you went with that motherboard , it has bad VRM
nonetheless , It may be not thermal throttling as you have 212 evo installed
So if I understand correctly you do a benchmark at the start of the game and get 52-56 but after 20 mins you DO THE SAME benchmark and get 35-40 fps ?

also please put a fan above your motherboard VRMs (gray squares next to the processor)

Ye i do same benchmark, it is built in game benchmark, btw i forgot to mention that my CPU temp goes to 69-78 degrees when playing it.

F or C ?? if F then its safe if C then your CPU is definitely throttling back to reduce temps

guess the 212 evo wasn't installed well

of course celsius.. i have another theme and they told me this motherboard is not good ( i wanted budget one, here in bulgaria we dont have money like ppl in usa or germany ), + i noticed voltage is high at 1.475, maybe computer service made it so it can work with this motherboard, i will see tomorrow with some stresstests ... I am damn tired from all this BS
