I'm going to be purchasing a new PSU to replace my Corsair CX600. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck because I do a lot of overclocking and want to be able to reach my max overclock possible on every component. My rig is an Intel i5 3570k Overclocked at 4.6Ghz. And I have the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 4GB which I cant seem to get past 1220mhz which is off seeing as some have them up to 1500mhz.

I live in canada so I shop on newegg.ca My budget is around $115-125 .Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Solution
G2 is made by Super Flower. XFX is made by Seasonic. Those are the top 2 PSU makers. Either one is fine. The G2 has modular cables and 7 year warranty. The XFX has 5 year warranty and is not modular. The G2 wins!

Doesn't seem like the wattage is holding you back. This would be an upgrade quality wise, and has modular cables as well. There are better ones that have been recommended, but this is the cheapest one I'd actually recommend.

I'm not familiar with XFX, Is it a good brand like Corsair and EVGA? Im a little worried about buying an off brand tbh. The supernova G1 I heard it's not good to buy refurbished PSU's, that your odds are much greater for missing accesories and failure. Still on the fence over what the best option is, I want tier 1 quality for my 970

XFX is a really good brand and SeaSonic is the OEM of their PSU's, it's definitely not an off brand.
