Specs:

  • Asus z97 gamer pro
    core i5 4690
    kingston hyperx 8gb 1866 mhz
    Asus strix GTX 970

Getting BSOD with 0x3b error randomly atleast once a day... Completely random. sometimes during shutdown, sometimes while closing CSGO or chrome..

Did stress test using unigine for 20 mins and gfx temp capped out at 70 C and Cpu max temp at 60 C and no BSOD during or after test. So no problem of heat. Ran memory and hardisk test and they passed..

Here is the screen of BSOD:

Any help would be really appreciated...

Thanks :)

Solution
update your windows 7 RTM to windows 7 SP1 +updates or you will get bugchecks every few hours. I would also run a malwarebytes scan and see if your win32k.sys file is corrupted.
start cmd.exe as an admin then run
sfc.exe /scannow
confirm all files are not corrupted, then reboot and run the command again.
often malware will undo the fixes right after they are made.

be sure to install service pack on or you will get bugchecks every few hours.
