my pc cpu temp has been constantly changing alot after i re applied thermal paste (cool master kind) and my cpu has been constanly on the change. At one moment it 50c then drops to 35c then up to 50c again while watching a video and then playing a simple game that are not to graphic heavy like system shock 2 i get 53c then playing skyrim i get the same but on idle it jumps to 45-50c idk whats wrong idk if it because i live in FL or i apllied the thermal paste wrong. By the way i use CpuID to see my temp

Also did you use to much thermal paste the coolermaster brand? you only need a small pea size drop it will take a few days for it to really sit in and work its best but temps do go up and down with even modest tasks ..As said above this is normal.

What brand of CPU are you using??? AMD ? Intel? What type or model? Are you overclocked? We could probably help more if we knew what we were dealing with..

If it is an AMD... try using OverDrive and look at your Clock/Voltage settings. If the Turbo Core is activated in your BiOS, it will make your temps fluctuate badly. It will also raise your temps if the voltage is set too high, which Turbo Core has a nasty habit of doing.

Check the settings you see below. If the Turbo Core button has green lettering, it is active. Click it and turn it off.... reset the CPU VId and the NB VID back to spec settings and take a look at your temps then.

If it is an Intel CPU..... I am not the guy to ask...LOL!
