I've decided to pay a local shop to build me a computer, and I've looked in to building it, I'd be paying about the same price if I built it, so that's out of the picture.

Anyways, the shop said they could build it, but it would be a Windows 8.1 OEM, and I'm not to sure about OEM vs Normal OS, Anyways, it's a pc for gaming and I was wondering if I'd be able to upgrade to Windows 10 in the future if I get a Windows 8.1 OEM.

Also what are the setbacks of an oem vs a normal OS ?

Thanks!

Specs:
Intel i5-4590 3.3Ghz

AsROCK H81M-HDS

8GB DDR3-1600 (1x8GB)

nVIDIA GTX960 2GB

SEAGATE 1TB 7200RPM

LG 24X DVD+/-RW

Integrated HD AUDIO

Integrated 10/100/1000 LAN

TT H23 GAMING CASE w/ WINDOW

Thermaltake 500W PS

OS Windows 8.1 - $109

IS It all compatible and stuff? Also would it run games like BLACKops2 at 75+ fps on high/medium

An OEM license is tied to that specific build, and can't be transferred. Functionally there is no difference. OEM licenses are actually the norm; when you buy a pre-built from Dell etc. the license is an OEM license.

Yes, you can update to Win 10.
