So I've ran into an issue here that randomly started. When I play any game on either highest or lowest settings I will get frequent fps drops that last for only 1second but can be devastating while gaming.(cpu usage drops slightly)
I've tried replacing every part one by one with older but working parts with no change. (only parts not changed are the harddrives and psu).
I watch the temperatures while gaming and cpu reaches 50-55c and gpu around 50-65(tops 70 on ultra settings) no dust in the case.
I've installed the latest drivers for the motherboard and gpu.
I've tried core unpacking and disabling whatever power option that might lower performance.
The spike can occure even if I use 10 or 100% of my cpu usage, even though it usually stays around 20%.
I've done clean installations of windows(including formating the harddrives).

I really don't know what else I can do... I'm just sick and tired of everything, please help!:(

I will try that this weekend! though, shouldn't the system shut down if it's dying?.. to add, it's pretty much a brand new psu..

Yeah I've been doing this and I find nothing that is causing a problem. Also about the malware I've done 2-4 formats of the pc so there can't be any virus causing it.
to add, when the lagspike happens I notic the cpu usage dropping slightly instead of going up to 100%. maybe this is normal, I have no clue.

I've been listening to my harddrives and sometimes it makes a weird noice, 2/5 times when it makes that noice the spike will happen. Do you think that my harddrive might be faulty?
I will replace it soon(hopefully today) and come back with the answear.

Replacing the harddrive seem to have worked, 1h of gameplay without any spikes so far!
If you guys know any ways of testing a faulty harddrive let me know.
