Generally No, not sure what set of Tri's you have, but the 2400 set is CL10 (they had a CL11 set also), but they use the same timings in the 16GB set as well as a single 8GB stick. Where CL goes up is as you go to higher data rates, i.e. the Tri's start at 1600/7 then 1866/8, 2133/9 2400/10, 2666/11 etc and the CL remains the same whether 16GB or 32GB. Additionally even though the CL goes up, the additional bandwidth overcomes the higher CL so you still see a performance increase as you go up each step

Another thing I have heard is that the memory controllers in amd boards aren't that great...
In addition ddr4 as near as I can tell won't work in any amd boards... Is there a mod I can use you get any better preformace out of my ram... I am very attached to amd... I find it is much more user friendly then intel.
