Hello,
I have been experiencing some very serious ping problems, especially noticeable in games.
I live in two households. At house 1 we have a good router(Dont know exactly) but it gives good speeds and I have no problems there, and it uses comcast. House 2 is where the problems began. We had used the basic gateway router for a while until literally today we got a new netgear AC 1900. Believing that this would solve my problems, I bought this router. However, after connecting to both the 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz bands, I still experience on average over 200 ping in games. I always search for servers relative to me. This problem exists in every online game, from Dota 2 to rocket league. I will be playing with friends who live within 10 miles of me experiencing less than 50 ping while I get 200+. Due to the fact that I don't experience this hat house 1, it has led me to believe that it was an issue with an outdated router and not my PC. After solving the issue with routers I am still getting 200 ping plus, which is extremely disappointing to me. Is this an issue with my internet provider? We have a good plan (~20 Mb/s download speed), Could it be my PC? Are there things connected to the wifi causing this? We transferred using access point btw. I dont know what else to do and its driving me mad.
