Switching from AMD to Intel problem

Hey guys, I just purchased a i5 4690k and a new mobo. Before I went to install the new parts I searched around and found people saying I need to reinstall windows if you switch CPU's? Windows 7 was pre installed on this machine. Any help? Thank you!

How would I go about reinstalling? Windows was pre installed and I'm on windows 10 right now. Easier to downgrade back ?

Well...now that we know that this is a whole different OS....

Anyway...get the MediaCreation tool from MS
Download the ISO, and burn that to DVD or USB
Try the clean install after you swap hardware. This may or may not work.
