Will my power supply be able to support 8-pin CPU power connectors on the motherboard?

Hello, I have been recently looking at upgrading my computer in the next few months for the third time. I just upgraded my power supply along with my graphics card; however, now I am wondering if my power supply decision was a bad buy. I have noticed most of the better motherboards I am looking at now use an 8-pin power connection while my power supply has two different 4-pin connectors that do not seem to slide together.

The highest rated Raidmax power supply on the Power Supply List that is maintained here on Toms is a tier 4 unit.

Tier Four
No Japanese capacitors found. Only Taiwanese capacitors and may even include Chinese capacitors. Very basic safety circuits or even thin gauge wiring used. Not for gaming rigs or overclocking systems of any kind. Avoid unless your budget dictates your choice.

If that sounds like what you want to buy, then you probably do not value your computer at all.

We recommend that you buy a Tier 1 or 2 power supply from that list. Not every power supply is on the list. I would include any Seasonic or XFX power supply as automatically being considered to be a tier 1 or 2 power supply. Seasonic only...

And all XFX power supplies are also Seasonic made.

While the corsair CXs have habit of failing, they don't have a habit of frying systems like Raidmax does.

Now that is much more agreeable, but in all fairness mine was like $35 on sale with a rebate so I knew full well I wasn't getting my dream Seasonic platinum PSU.

The Corsair CX is also a tier 4 power supply. Problem with the Corsair CX units is that they apparently went cheap on the quality of the capacitors to save money. As a result, far too many of those units begin to fail after 1 to 2 years, and people get a more powerful video card or CPU, and suddenly, they start experiencing random power outages.

And all XFX power supplies are Seasonic made.
