So recently I've been looking into playing video games with a friend. Nothing too difficult, just something for us to do on our free time.
For example we've wanted to play Minecraft. For unimportant reasons, it was best for me to create the server. So, I first attempted to port forward and create the server. Only I could connect to the server, so we crossed this off the list.
Option 2 was for us to use LogMeIn Hamachi. The program was installed without a problem, however the program could not connect to the Hamachi servers.
Option 3 was for us to install the Evolve client. When installing, the program had no problem installing the bootstrap plugins, but encounters problems when trying to install the rest of the programs. I then wanted to make sure it was my computer, and not my router, so I tried installing Evolve on a separate computer. I was shown success, but this computer was slow and inefficient to play games on.
So I decided to attempt to create the server on this separate computer by port forwarding. Again, it resulted in failure.
Afterwards I decided to take a break and play some Grand Theft Auto Five, which had difficulty connecting to the Rockstar servers entirely, and did not allow me to play said game.
I have AVG Antivirus software, and I have attempted to run all of these with it shut off.
And yes, my computer is connected to the internet
I have worked with one other person who had helped me try to solve these problems via email, but I was hoping somebody on here may be able to possibly provide some person to person help via skype.
If anyone would possibly have a solution to this problem, or may be able to help, please private message me and we can organize a Skype call.
Thank you to anyone who is available to help
