MSI 870-g45 and 32gb RAM possible?

Is it possible to run 32 gb RAM in an MSI 870-g45 motherboard? I know MSI shows 16gb max (which is what I have in it already), but I wanted to know if anyone has ran more and what their result was. I know it is an old board, but if it can handle that I may do it and wait a bit for more Skylake and the upcoming AMD Zen processors before a full upgrade. Thanks.

Although different modifications can be done to have different levels of RAM from each stick, it still can't surpass the max 16GB.

I was hoping that someone had experience getting it to run more. I know I saw a guy who ran 2x 8gb sticks in it for a total of 16gb, which isn't supposed to happen with that board, but I wanted to see if anyone had tried more than the 16gb allowed and what happened.
