So I'm not really into this stuff but I'm wondering can you guys give me some tips and answers.

I needed modem with atleast 2 ethernet ports and wireless but they sent me TL-WR740N router. Download didnt pass 90mbit download, upload is perfect, I have 120/5 speeds and everything works fine when PC is connected streight to MODEM. Also wireless is turned OFF so that isnt problem.

They changed my router for same one, TL-WR740N, speeds were same and they told me that they cant really do anything abotu this and that I need to send my request for some other router if its EVEN possible. OH well, story of my life in Serbia.

Anyways, I upgraded firmware to last one, that didnt change a single thing. Router version is V4.21.

Any suggestions about things which I can do maybe on my end ? Or simply this router is not good enough and doesnt take faster speeds properly ?

Thanks.

P.S You guys need to realize that I have more chances getting proper router by discussing this with people on forum like this instead asking my provider..

You will never get those speeds with that particular router. The TL-WR740N only has 100 Mbps ports (both WAN and LAN). You need a router with gigabit ports on both the WAN and LAN side if you want to exceed 100 Mbps..

If the ISP is selling speeds higher than 100 Mbps but sending customers a router only capable of 100 Mbps, then they are ripping off customers. Selling a service but then sending equipment which insures they will never have to provide the highest level of service they've sold. This sounds like grounds for a class action lawsuit.

I would...

I would demand they send you a router capable of 120 Mbps, or demand they cut your monthly bill by 20% to compensate for the lower bandwidth.
