hit 4.5ghz stable, do you think this voltage and temps are safe in prime95?

as the title says, i was going for 4.6 but thats not going to happen without going way over 1.3v, at 4.4ghz i was at 1.243 volts stable for half a year till i tried going higher(a hour ago). do you think the added heat/volts/noise is even worth it for a extra 100mhz?

WHat version of Prime95 are you using? Those max temps seem very high.

You should stay at 4.5ghz, I don't think that you'll see a difference with 100mhz.

OK that's what I thought. You need to try an older Prime95 for proper temp results. 48.5 uses AVX2 which causes the CPU temps to get pretty high.

You can also try OCCT and make sure AVX2 is off and see what temps you get with it.

26.6 is the last version before they added AVX instructions in. That and OCCT is a good choice.

That seems about right for high loads on that CPU with that cooler. Prime95s newer versions utilize the AVX instructions which make it get hotter than normal. So long as it is stable during stress testing and benching it should be fine as I have seen those CPUs being set to over 1.3v stable.
