[SOLVED] What not to do in bootcamp?

I learned the hard way what happens when you partition your drive while using bootcamp (it doesn't let you use OS X . Is there anything else I should know and would backing up OS X solved my problem.

Did you let Bootcamp Assistant do the partitioning for you? If so, then you can still use OS X, just hold down the option key while booting up in order to get to the startup manager. From the startup manager you can select which OS you'd like to boot from.

Another note, once your bootcamp drivers are installed in windows, you should have a bootcamp assistant application in windows. From there, you can set it so you can restart in either OS X or Windows and then restart to do so.
