So i have pretty much created a PC that makes me really happy now I think it's time to get a decent headset with a mic. I'm looking to spend $150-$200 max. I want something with very good sound and audio. I know that getting good sound can be expensive so that is I think $150 is reasonable I don't know if I hear alot of conflicting thins everywhere. So I am looking to hear some advice. Some people say go Astro Gaming A50 some people say the turtle beach audio mic is horrible which bothers me. Then I heard things things like go Razer.

Solution
You'd be better off getting a good pair of Headphones like a Sennheiser (around $110) and then getting a good quality desk microphone like a Blue Yeti ($130)
You'll have better sound quality then all your friends, and won't annoy them when you go to scratch your head or something.

I am looking for a separate combo so it's just mainly a nice pear of head phones I am really going to get the blue yeti I can appreciate good sound quality I just wish I could get a nice head phone. At this point if I am getting the yeti it doesn't even need to have a mic.

gaming headsets are a gimmick on the market. the worst I have owned are razer . the best solution byerdydamic custom one pro plus. dsx xonar sound card . v moda microphone . this will give very good results. you get simulated 7.1 sound. I had to go through a box full of gaming headsets and a lot of money before doing this. I have done the research. trust me you will enjoy this type of sound setup.
