I will use my pc for extreme gaming and gimp editing. I upgrade every year and I usually get a new PC when the socket is not supported for my mobo anymore; But only if the changes are huge. I do overclocking and I will not go custom looping. I play games such as wow, All of the valve games, dying light, evolve, farcry 4. Also, I hate lags. I dont have a budget for an mobo.
UPDATE: I upgrade my graphics card every year due to being the recent models obsolete like the gtx 780 did,
