I'm looking to buy a SSD drive in the region of 240GBs upwards. It doesn't matter if it's 240 or 250 or 256..it's going to need to run Windows with not a whole load of stuff installed and it's also going to need to run the occasional game via Steam or stand-alone installation.

Below are the offerings from Amazon where I currently have a £15 voucher and I'd like to use for that purpose.

At the current prices which one do you think is the best value for money? Mind you I'm not looking at hard core performance from it just what I mentioned above. So it could be that the cheapest one is good enough for what I want? Also if you got a recommendation from Amazon that's not in this list I'd be happy to consider it.

The ARC 100 SSD are on the lower end of the mainstream SSD performance. The Samsung 850 EVO would still outperform the ARC 100 hence the price difference between the two. Plus the 850 EVO comes with a 5 Year warranty whilst the ARC 100 give a 3 year warranty.
Also the Samsung Magician is pretty decent and comes with some extra features such as RAPID mode which i believe the ARC 100 is not capable of with its own SSD Management Tool

Oh, sorry, just saw your note about the amazon voucher. There's just shy of 10 pound between the BX100 and 850EVO on Amazon. That swings my recommendation to the BX100. It's a really solid drive: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9144/crucial-bx100-120gb-250gb-500gb-1tb-ssd-review/12

The 850 EVO is theoretically a little faster, there's not a heap in it, but it is faster, so there's nothing wrong with spending a bit more on the EVO if you consider it worthwhile.

If the difference is in 1-2 secs I'd rather save £10 or so. I'll have a look at the Anandtech review. Thanks for letting me know :)

The main difference between the BX100 and the 850 EVO is that BX 100 does not have any data encryption features if you plan to use that and offers no data integrity when you have a power loss. It's classified as a budget SSD.
