Hi everyone!
Here is my problem. I purchased a used Dell 780 and it worked fine but the on board graphics only supported VGA so I decided to upgrade with a PCI e card. I purchased a Dell OEM card ATI Radeon 256 from Amazon for 40 bucks and proceeded to install it. No problem right? WRONG
I got no signal and the DELL started beeping the 6 beep signal for bad card. Took out the upgrade and figured the Dell would reboot to onboard display. NOPE now no video at all and the Dell gives 6 beeps and sits there dead. Any suggestions? I am running Windows 7
thanks

I did the cmos thing and then got the video card I think to work

Its indicating in windows repair mode that I have a bad driver?

Well now Windows 7 wont let me run the program. I am stuck in this repair loop and the info is that I have a bad driver. Both the on board vga and the card DVI work up till that point and then Windows7 comes on and says cant fix driver

You may have to do a fresh install of windows
OR
You may have to take that hard drive out, put a new one and fresh install windows. Then put the other one in there too and copy the files off of it.
OR
Maybe your computer came with a disc that lets you install the stock drivers?

Have you tried putting the windows disk in and done a repair?

Which model is Dell 780, Optiplex? And which form factor, mini tower, desktop, small form factor?
And what is exactly video card model, I can not even guess?
