Hello everyone :)

So I'm not the most informed on the topics of motherboards and the process of bios updating but I know enough to not be totally clueless.

I currently have a i5-4460 with a EVGA 750 ti 2gb, and I'm looking for a mobo that doesn't require a bios update cause I rather not deal with that process. If yall could help me with finding one that meets my criteria I would greatly appreciate it. I do plan on upgrading processors down the line as well if that helps possibly?

My budget is around 150 or so and would also prefer if the installation process wasn't all that difficult either. Thanks guys :)

If you want upgrade the cpu to the k version, you may think the Z97 MB, but some of the H97 can oc well too. Like the ASRock Fatal1ty H97 http://www.eteknix.com/asrock-fatal1ty-h97-performance-lga-1150-motherboard-review/6/

Because the 4th gen cpu came out for a while, you may not need to upgrade the BIOS at all, but for the 5th gen Broadwell cpu you need. I add some of them on the list. And I check the cpu support list for the i5 4460, all don't need the BIOS update.

What do you mean by DOA? Well as long as they don't require BIOS updates and are fairly easy to install I'm sold :)

So then I'm good to go if I purchase this one? No bios updates and all? :)

One last question, how come it always seems like MoBo's have bad reviews. I'm so scared to buy one in fear it'll be DoA or some shit will happen which is why I see so many bad reviews. Like my desktop mobo has never caused me an issue but I see people say their better mobo's die in a day or idk.

Because they had the bad experience with the product, so they wrote the reviews on it, and other people does not have bad luck with it, but they may not write the good reviews, or you maybe luck to get the good product, because you don't know how many product the company sold, I mean the ratio is always lower if the brand name is good.

The MoBo's that you sent me, some appear to be mATX. I've searched that they aren't ideal for gaming? And I never knew how small they were till I saw one in Fry's today.

I've been searching up so many mobo's lately but am hesitant considering I'm not sure if I will need to bios update or how I can even check if mines is up to date? Idk. Sorry I'm so questiony, again I'm new :/
