my computer froze up so i unplugged my sandisk ssd cache. that worked so i submitted a request to sandisk for warranty service.
their first response:
Thank you for contacting SanDisk. I apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please make sure that you have tried other available SATA ports and whether the SSD is getting detected in BIOS.
so i responded:
I'm not going to plug the card into other ports. It could corrupt the main disk and ruin my computer. That sounds like a bad idea especially since your warranty doesn't cover lost data.
and they responded:
Thank you for further update. If you can verify that the SATA port to which the SSD was connected is not faulty itself without connecting the SSD to other SATA ports, there is no need to try connecting the SSD to other ports. You can verify, for example, by putting another functional SATA drive to the SATA port where SSD seems to cause the issue and see if it works well.
i'm no expert but this advice doesn't sound so good. anyone else have their ssd cache stop working?
